Pikey Peak Trekking from Phaplu

Pikey trek lies in Solu district. Same route to Everest Gokyo Kalapathar from Jiri or Flight to Phaplu from Kathmandu and continue trek for the Pikey peak. It holds maximum altitude 4400m at Dudh Kund ( Milky holly Lake). There are many ancient budhist Gompas: More than 300 are monks in Chiwang gompa. Thothangchuli Gompa is the oldest one in the Everest region. There are maximum 300 monks . Jhapre Gompa is situated in very peace full place.

Milky holly lake is not bigger but it's perfect landscape touching one's heart. This trek covers Khumbu range mountains view from each and every camp sites.

We reccommend this trek for the meditators and for the people who are over 50-55 years.

This region holds more than five different types of rhododendron species. From Pike Peak 3900m can be enjoyed the view of Khumbu/Everest region Mountains: Everest, Makalu, Chhoyu, Lotse, Thamserku, Kusum Kanga, ect. This area is very vergin area. Very few tourst program their trekking in this region. So we can say that it is less touristy place.

Itinerary

D 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, reception at airport and transfer to hotel. Night in hotel.
D 02: Valley Sight Seeing.
D 03: Kathmandu to Phaplu by plane trek continue to Chiwang Gompa.
D 04: Chiwang Gompa rest day observation and look around.
D 05: Chiwang Gompa to Thuptenchholing Gompa monastery.
D 06: Thuptenchholing Gompa monastery rest and observation and meditation.
D 07: Thuptenchholing Gompa monastery to Kharka.
D 08: Departure from Kharka to Dudha Kund ( Holly Milky Lake) 4400m
D 09: Hikking around Dudha Kunda.
D 10: Dudha Kunda to Junbensi
D 11: Junbensi to Tamakhani or Loding Mangar ethic village.
D 12: Tamakhani or Loding to Pikey camp near cheese dairy.
D 13: Early morning hike to Pikey peak and view of sun rise and mountain range backe to Jhapre.
D 14: Jhapre to Dhap.
D 15: Morning hike to Thala Danda 3700m for mountain view and continue to Gunsa.
D 16: Gunsa to Gairi.
D 17: Gairi To Rumjatar
D 18: Rumjatar to Kathmandu by plane.
D 19: Free day in Kathmandu
D 20: From Transfer to Airport
