Beni Mustang Trekking, Nepalese territory behind the Himalayas, had remained closed since very long time for foreigners.The territory with canyons, red & troglodyte cliffs, valleys and the surprising fortress of Lho Mathang has opened for all foreigners in these days. This is only a region having own culture of king / system of rajauta still remain in Nepal.
Trans-Himalayan kingdom of Mustang, the restricted area, the kingdom of rajauta situated in the area of about 3000 square kilometers. This land is geographically, culturally and climatically similar to Tibet. The capital of Mustang is Lhomangthang which is walled around. Tiji festival is celebrated only in Mustang.
Mustang trekking, trekking behind the Himalaya, Lomangthang trek starts from Jomsom along the bank of the Kaligandaki River from lower Mustang to Upper Mustang Lomangthang. This route passes through pretty villages like Tsarang and Lhomangthang, beautiful landscapes, valleys, canyons, red and troglodytic cliffs and several Passes.
This is trekking is medium level. It require a good walking experience and good physical form.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu. Pick you up from the airport and transfer to the hotel.
Day 02: Sight Seeing tours in Kathmandu Valley.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Beni (approx. 9 hours) and trek to Galeshwor (1 hrs).
Day 04: Trekking to Tatopani-1120m (6-7 hr).
Day 05: Trekking to Ghasa-2013 m (6-7 hr).
Day 06: Trekking to Tukchey-2590m (6-7 hr).
Day 07: Trekking to Jomsom-2713m (6-7 hr).
Day 08: Trekking to Kagbeni-2810m (6-7 hr).
Day 09: Trekking to Chele-3050m (6-7 hr).
Day 10: Trekking to Gelling-3720m (6-7 hr).
Day 11: Trekking to Tseram-3530m (6-7 hr).
Day 12: Trekking to Lo-manthang-3800m (6-7 hr).
Day 13: Excursion at Lo-manthang Namgyal and Tingkhar Village visit.
Day 14: Excursion at Lo-manthang.Visit of Nyaphu, Gharphu, Nedar and Thubten Monastery on the way to CHHOSER.
Day 15: Trekking to Dri-3550m (7 hr).
Day 16: Excursion to Luri Gompa-Yari (6-7 hr).
Day 17: Trekking to Tange-2950m (5-6 hr).
Day 18: Trekking to Kharka-4200m (6-7 hr).
Day 19: Trekking to Tangteng-3050m (5-6 hr).
Day 20: Trekking to River side camp.
Day 20: Trekking to Muktinath-3790m (6-7 hr).
Day 21: Rest day at Muktinath.
Day 22: Trekking ends at Jomsom (5-6 hr).
Day 23: Flight Jomsom - Pokhara
Day 24: Tourist bus to Kathmandu.
Day 25: Free day in Kathmandu.
Day 26: Transfer to the airport and fly out.
